The story behind jETAGE
Growing up, like many children, I was obsessed with aviation. Everything airplanes, I wanted to know. Weekend mornings as a child were spent waking up earlier than my siblings, racing to be the first to the family computer to watch my aviation documentaries. And to this day, the thrill of hearing and seeing a plane above my head hasn't faded.
I distinctly remember the first time I saw an Airbus A340, at the age of 18. In my garden under a clear, summer sky, and 37,000 feet above me, it was there. In my sight, it was nothing more than a tiny white blur coasting through the sky. But the four chemtrails and thin, long fuselage gave it away as a rare A340. I recall haphazardly taking my phone out and rushing to take a photo to document that moment. Such is the joy I find in the small things.
Beyond this, I am equally drawn to history and law, and spending many years studying them academically, JetAge is a culmination of bringing my passions together, where I seek to share the fascinating history of civil aviation, and hopefully, spark the same curiosity in others.
